I fell in love with yoga about ten years ago now after my physiotherapist suggested it to assist in the healing process with a reoccurring knee injury.  Not only did it resolve that on going issue but it allowed my body to find a balance that I had never achieved in my active youth.  I continued to practice and every single class I fell further in love.  My journey carried from physical practice into the many layers deep inside.  It didn’t matter the type of class I was practicing – the gift that I received every time was that critical time with myself.

Today, the journey is far from over.  I will always be a student, always developing my practice and harmonizing my internal and external world.  Always discovering the layers upon layers and within each of them, the stillness.  The space in which creativity forms from our formless essence.  It is here that I found passion – not only for my practice on the mat, but for my practice in every moment of my life.  I long to share this flame, this passion with my students.  This is why I practice, and this is why I teach.

In class, you can expect to find a gentle yet sturdy practice.  I offer clear, verbal cues that will allow you to feel the direction in your body while listening to the physical limitations in each moment, as to work right at your edge.  Each class is unique and provides multiple aspects of yoga to provide you with time and space to strengthen and stretch the body, and time to move beyond the physical layers to rediscover and integrate all aspects of your being.  I look forward to seeing you at the studio soon!
