Hatha

The word Hatha comes from the Sanskrit terms “ha” meaning “sun” and “tha” meaning “moon”. Hatha is the most popular form of yoga and is the basis for other popular yoga such as Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Bikram and Kundalini. In Hatha yoga, you will learn to control your breathing in a relaxed and modulated way in order to provide focus in different postures. Through the holding of poses and continued practice of Asanas, proper alignment and mindful actions of the body can be found. Hatha yoga brings balance, strength, and a sense of well-being to the practitioner. Hatha yoga is a great way to start your yoga journey and is a wonderful launching pad for further development.
