The Day the Laughter Died

I just heard the news that Robin Williams died of an apparent suicide today.  The news brought me back to the day my wife and son had the pleasure of bumping into Mr. Williams in Sausalito, California, on there way back from the Market.  In many ways Robin’s humour reminded me of the joyful spirit of wonder that my son possessed at two.  He brought laughter, joy, wonder, and hope to so many, for so many years.  At a time when we all could use more laughter and play in our lives and in our world, the loss of his beautiful creative spirit touches us all, and is a great loss to us all.  May his spirit live on in each of us.

With Deep Condolences to his Family,

Michael
